Who It's For
Landlords who collect rent by check, cash, money order or app and want a simple paper record for each tenant or unit.
How to Use It
- Use one page per tenant or unit, per year. Fill in the tenant, property, rent amount and due date at the top.
- Record each payment the day it arrives: date paid, amount and method.
- Add any late fee your lease allows in the Late Fee column.
- Update the balance: previous balance + amount due + any late fee − amount paid.
- Keep the ledger with your rental records. It's also handy at tax time.
What's Included (1 page)

Good to Know
Only charge late fees your lease allows. Many states and cities limit late fees or require grace periods, so check your local rules. This ledger is a record-keeping tool, not legal advice.
